Analyzing differences amoung Copolymer Acetal and Dupont Delrin Homopolymer in Sheet and Rods

Delrin is a great plastic for turning on a lathe lathe. It’s very easy to turn, although it does require reduced speeds. I have used this stuff to make Scottish small pipes chanters. I have purchased numerous items from Industrial Plastic. The smaller parts always ship promptly and everything was well packed. I have never had an issue with an order.
Between the Delrin and Acetal rods, both materials are incredibly tough and easily machinable, and they have very comparable physical properties. They do look the same, but in practical use there are a few differences that may make one better than the other. It also depends on your application. As with all plastic materials, make sure to check the typical properties data sheet for the desired properties you may need for your application.
