Three Days in Magical Madrid
Enjoy the latest blob by the Avid Traveller: We start with a bit of history: Madrid has been the capital of Spain since mid-sixteenth century, when Philip II transferred the capital from Toledo. Between 1601 and 1606 the capital of Spain was moved to Valladolid but subsequently returned to Madrid. In the Autumn of 2024, the AvidTravellrer started a whirlwind 72-hour journey to Madrid with pals, beginning with a lively, history-filled city exploration. Walking through bustling squares, we immersed ourselves in the city's history and vibrant environment. Our group's diverse preferences resulted in different activities. Suzanne and Richard began the very firstday one night with a memorable dinner at Bodega de los Secretos, a relaxing, centuries-old restaurant loaded with charm.
